Crafted from a blend of L'Acadie, Geisenheim, Siegfried, Muscat, Cayuga, and Petite Milo, this off-dry wine shows tropical, spicy, and mineral notes.
The 2015 growing season started a few weeks later than usual due to unusually high snowfall through the winter which delayed spring by a couple weeks. Spring was dryer and warmer than usual which allowed the vines to make up for the late start but kept the crop to a reasonable level. Summer and autumn were fairly average with autumn rains holding off until very late in the season leading to a particularly clean harvest.
This wine is made-up of a blend of grapes grown at Warner Vineyards, North Mountain Vineyard, Wallace Point and our estate vineyard. The Geisenheim and Muscat varieties drive the aromatics while L’Acadie Blanc and Petite Milo flesh out the mid-palate and deliver herbal and spicy tones.
On the nose this wine shows notes of melon, plum, apple, almond, and lilac, with an underlying stony minerality. The palate starts off soft and medium sweet with loads of tropical fruit and spiced apple with mineral notes lingering on the long refreshing finish.
